The success of the new oil strategy is currently evident in the reconstruction of all regions of Azerbaijan, including our liberated territories, and in the successful implementation of infrastructure projects. The recognition of Azerbaijan as a country of stability in a short time, the creation of a normal economic environment conditioned its transformation into a place of large investments. Today, we are proud to note that the volume of investments in the country's economy is 310 billion dollars, of which 200 billion dollars belong to the non-oil sector. Today's realities confirm that Azerbaijan has achieved all its goals at a high level. The successful completion of each project presupposes the introduction of the next projects.

Because the Upper Shirvan irrigation channel has been operating for many years. The canal is an earthen channel and over the years, most of the canal has fallen into disrepair. Naturally, this also caused losses, water losses are quite large. Due to the losses and water leaks, the surrounding land has become saline and unfit for cultivation. The Upper Shirvan Canal was built in 1958, and today the new stage of the canal, which is now called the Shirvan Canal, begins. In fact, the canal will be rebuilt and thus thousands of people will benefit from this project. The length of the 120-kilometer canal will be doubled and will exceed 200 kilometers.
